Fundraising Coordinator

Location: Remote (Ghana)

Position Type: Part-time volunteer (~6-10 hours a week)

About Us: Empowering Female Minds in STEM (EFeMS) is a nonprofit organization committed to supporting African women in STEM higher education. We offer mentorship, training, and community-building initiatives that help women thrive in STEM fields.

Role Overview: EFeMS is seeking a dynamic and motivated Fundraising Coordinator to lead our fundraising efforts. This individual will develop and execute strategies to engage donors, secure corporate sponsorships, and organize fundraising events to support our mission. Please note that this is not a paid position.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy for EFeMS.

  2. Build relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, and grant-making organizations.

  3. Organize and manage fundraising events, including virtual campaigns, donor events, and community drives.

  4. Track fundraising progress, provide regular updates to the board, and ensure that donor relations are nurtured and maintained.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Marketing, Business, or a related field is a bonus.

  • At least 2 years of experience in fundraising or donor relations.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and networking skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Passionate about empowering women and supporting education in STEM.
